RSJ Aldrich Ltd, is a family business based at The Carpet Warehouse, Chapeltown, where we have been for five years.  The business was formed in 1967 and has developed into a well established friendly business where customer satisfaction is our priority.  July 2006 saw the opening of our unique showroom at The Floor Studio in Rotherham where our policy of customer satisfaction is repeated. Our motto is ' happy to help'.

Roy Aldrich has been in the carpet trade for 47 years now and although he no longer fits he is still a large part of our daily process doing the majority of measures and estimates. Roy was taught his craft at Ponsfords Sheffield as a 16 year old apprentice and worked for the company until joining John Walsh when he was 21. Roy and Sue Married in 1966 and set up a partnership in 1967, Roy been responsible measuring, planning and fitting whilst Sue kept a track of the admin side of things as well as hand seaming as at this time many carpets were 27 inch wide. Over the years we have seen many changes in the make up and fashions in floor coverings i.e.man made materials, Karndean etc, but the basic idea stays the same, Customers who are satisfied return time and time again, whether moving house or updating their home.

Our son Richard joined us on leaving school in 1989 to learn 'THE TRADE' and after a very taxing apprenticeship under a hard taskmaster---his father---he is now a full partner / director and is already at the helm taking over the business along with his wife Vicki who is also a partner.

Until we opened the warehouse over 4 years ago we worked from home offering an 'at home' pattern book service which we are continuing to do. with the space available in the warehouse we are able to stock a greater selection at a very competitive price.
